MediaTrust is an online technology platform focused on pay-for-results advertising based in New York City. MediaTrust’s platform brings together direct response advertisers and affiliate publishers with the purpose of generating campaigns that deliver leads and sales. In addition to its headquarters in New York City, MediaTrust also has offices in Santa Barbara, California and Toronto, Canada.
MediaTrust is a member of the Performance Marketing Association (PMA), American Marketing Association (AMA), Business Marketing Association (BMA) and eMarketing Association eMA.
The company was founded in April 2004 as Advaliant. The Advaliant performance marketing network platform and its proprietary ValTrack tracking system was launched in September 2004. In April 2007 the company changed its name to MediaTrust. Made Advaliant its performance marketing affiliate network division, and launched the industries first Integrated Solutions Group (ISG). In November 2007 the company formed the MediaTrust Services Group division and launched the groups SSMO search and social media, mobile marketing and data management.
MediaTrust was one of first performance marketing companies to leverage a social marketing strategy. The company launched its industry blog Relevantly Speaking in August 2007, which also includes video interviews and news reports. The company also leverages social networks including Twitter and Facebook to attract customers and build awareness. In the third quarter of 2009, the Advaliant name was merged into the MediaTrust brand. MediaTrust also assumed an aggressive stance against fraud by doing several things. The company created an online compliance center, released fraud detection tools, developed social media and blogging guidelines and established rigorous publisher qualifications. In January 2010, MediaTrust acquired e-Mail marketer Kenzai, adding Conversion Marketing and Email Remarketing Solutions to their Core Offering. In January 2011 Peter Bordes became a judge of The Affiliate Marketing Awards.
